Encryption and a USB key make sensitive files
invisible |

The theft of a computer can be inconvenient, but when the machine contains
sensitive work data, it can have serious consequences. KeyDrive II from the
Secure Technology Group, can render such files invisible with a combination of
encryption key a USB key.
|
|
It works by creating a virtual encrypted volume - up to 10GB in size - on the
largest partition, to act as a secure container for important files. Without the
USB key, a casual thief would probably not be aware of the drive's presence, and
has even less chance of cracking the encryption. |
|
Setup simply requires the insertion of the key into a free USB port and enter a
password. The virtual drive remains completely invisible until the key is
inserted and the PIN entered. When the key is removed, the drive disappears. It
is completely integrated into the Windows shell and there is no noticeable
encryption lag when accessing files. |
